Disaster Planning!

Wow, what a tragedy in Moore, Oklahoma! Our prayers and support go out to that community of strong independent fellow Americans that have suffered property, physical damage and loss of lives.

After a tragedy such as this it is good to reflect on 'what if's', What if my business was destroyed? What if our communications was interrupted, no phones, no faxes, no email, no internet? There are many valuable questions to ask. Regarding business communications, if you use a cloud service outsourced online fax and phone communications setting up a temporary business location is quick and painless!

Cloud based services do provide a great level of disaster comfort should one ever need to relocate business temporarily, no online faxes and no voice calls will ever be lost due the built in delivery mechanism of email and voice mail. On the other hand, if your business facility housed it's own fax machines or fax server, and phone system, the disaster would shut you down much longer than if your communication services were cloud based. All you would need to be back in communication is internet access from any physical address. Using in house systems callers and fax senders would hear a busy signal, which could take weeks to rebuild these systems to operational. Consider cloud based communications as part of your disaster plan!

Another Cover Up!

ANOTHER COVER UP!

Lately there's a lot of discussion about a possible high level government coverup over the Benghazi terrorists attach on the U.S. Embassy. There is another coverup happening in the fax machine and fax server industry to promote traditional fax methods while denying the benefits of online fax.

There is absolutely no reason any business should hang on to traditional fax equipment that is
1) expensive to replace,
2) requires technical support labor to maintain,
3) needs phone lines, paper, ink, long distance, cleaning, etc.
4) fax machines consume an amazing amount of employee time to print, walk, dial, re-dial, and watch a fax be sent or walk to pickup received faxes, tracking down lost faxes picked up by someone else.
5) fax machines are a security risk, exposing private information.

Worth hundreds of thousands in savings, online fax can have a huge impact on all these expenses, plus provide gains in productivity increasing employee efficiency, better customer service, plus the benefit of fail safe delivery on multiple carriers will get your critical documents delivered quickly!

Evaluating Fax Machines

Questions to ask when evaluating fax machines?

Would you like to eliminate all these hard and soft costs…
1) A fax document received by a fax machine must go somewhere, either to a paper file,
trash, or scanned into a document management system? How are your faxes handled?
          2) Fax machine maintenance and repair. Is there a maintenance contract? A cost per page
contract?
          3) Fax machine EOL, 'end of life', replacement cost. What is the life of a fax machine in
your company?
          4) Phone line cost to operate the fax machine?
          5) Supplies cost, paper, ink/toner?
          6) A fax machine is very susceptible to disappearing documents, this is bad for customer
service! Consider the cost to call a customer asking to resend their fax? Consider the cost of a critical fax document lost and delayed?
7) A fax machine is an open source of private information. Is there a security risk lurking
around your fax machine?
          8) Consider the fax machine sending process…print a document, walk to the machine, dial,
redial, send, wait for confirmation, etc.
          9) Consider the fax machine receiving process…walk over to pickup a document, hand to
someone else, not to mention checking multiple times for arrival of special fax.
          10) Consider the cost of long distance fax calls.

The solution is online fax, which will eliminate these costs while providing additional security, convenience and productivity within your company! Visit our website www.onlinefax.com or call (866) 809-0399.

Does Saving $30 Per Hour Matter?

Recently in talking with a dear friend I realized that being 'challenged' to think about a common issue from a different perspective can have great rewards! Here's what I mean...

If your company has a worker that costs $30 per hour for wages and benefits, is that enough money to matter? Ok, let's crunch some numbers...

This worker is on the job roughly 21 work days per month, 8 hours per day, totaling 168 hours of work per month. Now, at a cost $30 per hour for 168 hours is $5,040 for the month.

Now, calculate the cost for 12 months, $60,480.
Now, calculate the cost for 24 months, $120,960.
Now, calculate the cost for 36 months, $181,440.
Now, at 48 months or 4 years this worker cost the company $241,920!

Now, if your company has multiple departments or locations and you can eliminate one such worker from each.... Hum, let's expand on the numbers...

Eliminate 2 workers saves $483,840 over four years!
Eliminate 4 workers saves $967,680 over four years!
Eliminate 8 workers saves $1,935,360 over four years!

The Challenge!

So far, I bet you assumed the 'worker' was a person?
Come on, admit it, you did. Ok, let's get the rest of the story...

The Rest of the Story!

The 'worker' you need to eliminate in your company is the Fax Machine.

Any multi-location corporation can save hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars by switching to a Fax to an email online fax service.
